"I agree that the gym is a bit narrow if you are not overly obese this should not affect you. As far as resistance goes if you raise the carriage you'll get a lot more than 60 pounds out of the machine. I've had the gym for about a month and I use it 4-6 times a week. I've seen some great results and overall improvement of tone in my body. The dvd has two workouts on it, one for strength and a regular pilates work out, both workouts are decent. There are many other reformer dvd's out there, however because this reformer is unique in it's shape it may be difficult to find a dvd that works with it.
